Random Start. Featuring 2 amazing and humble chics who love music. Johnna (psychologist-to-be/artist) and Keren (Attorney at law at private practice/wittiest blonde ever). Guest bloggers: equally awesome: David Bao (former software engineering now entrepreneuring business man rockstar). and Frank Gatto (Lawyer/photographer/badass sexy bitch).

Recap. Johnna and Keren own this shit. Other two (the men) are legit contributors.

We <3 Riley Breckenridge for the idea, and all the other bands we listen to that inspire us every day. To name drop a few: THRICE, Deftones, Crosses, Glassjaw, Radiohead, Dillinger, Explosions in the Sky.

BLINK-182 - MUTT

“He took the seat off his own bike because the way that it felt. He wants to bone, yes I know, she is ready to blow”

A) I just wrote an entire post and it got deleted

B) These lyrics are so great and hilarious and so well represent the potty mouth humor and derogatory melodies that so well capture this entire album.

C) If it weren’t for this album, I hands down, wouldn’t be the person I am today—-for the reason that if it weren’t for Blink coming into my life at this album’s time, as a frizzy banged, braces wearing dork wearing Dickies shorts that made me look like a flaming lesbian, I wouldn’t listen to the music I do today—music being ingrained in every part of my life, I couldn’t have imagined the trajectory of my music-finding being the same without Enema of the State. With this album came my first passionate infatuation (Mr. Tom Delonge), my first guitar (shitty Washburn then Signature Tom D. Fender Strat), my first set of concerts, and the confidence in knowing to trust the music I liked and go with it regardless of the shit that’s put in your face as an adolescent (sorry Britney and Christina). With this album came the diving into every shred of Blink music EVER recorded, as well as into every band in their general scene (from the old school punk bands like NOFX, Lagwagon, No Use to the Drive Thru Records bands—Midtown, Homegrown, FINCH). Everything changed when Blink came along, shit in my world got turned upside down in a good way. Additionally, as the generation right before me can most identify with Pearl Jam or Soundgarden as the rock soundtracks of their youths, this is definitely the best rock album of my generation (#2 prob a Sublime album or Colour and the Shape by Foo). I go back in time when I hear this yet don’t feel like a moment has passed since it came out; the same enthusiasm comes up when I listen to the tracks, and I rock the fuck out JUST as hard. <3
